Tricks and tips for getting the perfect New Bern rental home experience:
When to visit Atlantic Beach & When to reserve a Atlantic Beach rental home:
- Summertime is the most expensive season in coastal NC. Booking a rental in Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a New Bern vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- The sooner you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Booking your vacation home six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
- Find a copy of your local New Bern area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guide magazines have money saving offers on nearby tours, shops, and attractions.
Selecting and booking the best New Bern vacation home:
- Select your vacation dates and budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Seaside Villas 1, Almost Oceanfront Duplex in Atlantic Beach, NC! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the property management company before you reserve the rental. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If there's a specific New Bern attraction you are crazy about, look for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- Some rental properties allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the owner about pets before booking.
Additional considerations:
- Be sure you get the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
- To ensure that damages are not linked to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas during arrival. Get in touch with the host right away to document any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an incredible source for finding the best local attractions.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let burglars spoil your vacation.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected everything. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent ratings to propel more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best rental home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
