Strategies to get the very best vacation property experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • Book your New Bern rental home in the Spring or Fall to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property managers usually offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Often, property management companies supply New Bern area visitors guide magazines which include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find New Bern area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Choosing the perfect rental in Atlantic Beach:

  • Select a group lead, select your trip dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Queen Suite-Unit 202 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our New Bern vacation rental search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property owner before reserving the vacation property. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
  • Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or charges might be applied to your agreement.

Have a great stay:

  • Get the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property. We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Upon check-in, record any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the host. Record all coorespondence.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors disrupting your peaceful home. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would've never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let burglars spoil your holiday.
  • On check-out day, complete a walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property one final time and look for damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a wonderful vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property management company was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
