- Private vacation home
Coastal gem on a gorgeous canal lot with private dock and sleeps 12. Appreciate the best beach vacation with a cavernous cathedral ceiling living area which opens out to a giant dual level waterside patio with hottub, fire-pit, new Weber Genesis grille, dining space, enclosed outdoor shower, ping pong table, ring toss, and giant lounge area next to the dock. Tie up your boat, kayaks, or just fish and swim from the dock. Even a doggy swim ladder! You can hear the ocean from the dock.
Inside, there's the master suite, two guest bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with a full bed and a single with trundle. A "pirate's loft" space via a ladder with 5 twin beds is great for kids. The wet bar is great for the "big kids".
Pine Knoll Shores features private beach access with showers and a decked viewing area that's within simple walking distance of our home, or savor private secured parking. Our golf cart is available too for a nominal weekly fee. PKS features waterfront parks to watch sunsets and play basketball, the NC Aquarium, and neighborhood golf course! There are three private boat ramps in the neighborhood you can use and ample space in our driveway/parking pad to park your trailer. You can tie your boat to our dock in the canal.
PKS is a great base to discover Beaufort, Cape Lookout, Fort Macon, Emerald Isle, Atlantic Beach and so much more.
Linens and towels are included along with all of the silverware you could possibly need. A random collection of beach chairs, body boards, bocce balls, and other toys continues to grow in the outside closet. TVs in every room, complimentary high speed internet, a printer, PAC Man video arcade game and other surprises await you.
For security and inclement weather conditions, there are 3 cameras located on the property. They can be observed near the front door, back door and pointing to the dock.

How to find the best vacation property experience:
Finding the best rental home value:
- Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are high season in Pine Knoll Shores. To find the best value, try changing your vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant temperatures, , and reduced traffic.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Property managers frequently offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
- Often, property management companies supply New Bern area visitor guides that include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find New Bern visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Choosing and booking the rightrental home:
- Begin by choosing the best vacation week and a budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Pine Knoll Shores Canal, NC Comfortable Beach Get-Away has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always available on booking websites. If not, contact the property owner before reserving the rental. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to work out what configuration is suitable for your vacation group.
- Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or applied to your contract.
- Visiting for a specific event or attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental.
Some things to know before you go:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your phone.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let burglars spoil your family vacation.
- To make certain that damages aren't linked to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas when you arrive. Contact the rental manager immediately to record any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible resource to find the best local beaches.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Re-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, take video of the property to record its condition.
- Did you have a terrific time? Most rental managers make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
