It also has 3 comfortable beds (1 King / 2 Queen), 3 Samsung intelligent TVs, a Bluetooth stereo receiver, 5G WIFI and full-size washer/dryer. Plus there’s a humongous deck, outdoor shower and a beach cart you're welcome to use.

And bring your bicycles because the bicycle path (1/2 block away) takes you to wooded trails, close by eateries, mini-golf, a wine shop and much more. Take a family walk to the beach with your eyes peeled for whitetail deer that roam around the neighborhood at dusk.

Tricks and tips to get the best Emerald Isle rental home experience:
Finding your best deal:
- Summertime is high season in the New Bern area. To get the best value, change your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer great temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a New Bern vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Some owners offer discounts for veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies frequently offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Often, rental management companies supply New Bern area visitor guide magazines which will include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Planning and choosing the bestrental:
- Select a designated group leader, select your vacation week, and choose a budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Family beach cottage poised between the ocean, hiking, biking, eateries & shops has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the host before reserving the home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to work out what is suitable for your group.
- Is your family looking for special amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental home.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
- Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or charges may be applied to your invoice.
Some things to know before you go:
- Add the property manager's contact information to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Document any damages to the rental during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are beneficial if a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent quite a few difficulties.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would've not otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let burglars spoil your vacation.
- At departure, take a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on great feedback to stimulate future bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
