Getting the best vacation property experience:

Finding your best deal:

  • The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Booking your vacation property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Atlantic Beach. Reserve your New Bern rental home in Spring or Fall to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a New Bern vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Property managers sometimes offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group.
  • Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Often, rental management companies supply New Bern area visitors guides which will include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to choose and book a perfect New Bern rental home:

  • Start by choosing your the best vacation week and a budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. 2nd-Floor Oceanfront Condo w\/Shared Pool, Ocean Views + Free WiFi & Wet Bar has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, contact the property manager before you reserve the property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, property owners charge additional pet fees.
  • Visiting for a single event or attraction? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .

Tips to have a great stay:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, stereo or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few issues.
  • Lock your vacation home while you're away. Keep your property safe!
  • To make certain no damages are linked to your visit, make a record of any problem areas upon check in. Make contact with the property manager immediately to document any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all of your things. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a fantastic stay? Many rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
