Tips to get the best New Bern rental experience:
Finding your best deal:
- To get the best value, try changing your family's New Bern vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
- The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are booked very early. Reserving your vacation home six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
- Some property management companies offer promotional rates for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
- Property managers often offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
- Look for your local New Bern area magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guide magazines contain deals for local accommodations and attractions.
Planning and choosing the right New Bern rental:
- Start by selecting vacation dates and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. 2 Room King Studio Apartment.-Unit 121 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is commonly available online. If they are not listed, email the property owner before you reserve your home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You'll need to work out what is best for your family.
- If there's an individual New Bern beach you simply love, look for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or charges could be applied to your invoice.
Know before you go:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
- To ensure that damages aren't linked to your stay, record any problem areas upon check in. text the rental manager right away to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific resource to find the best local scenic spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are gone, just like you would back home.
- Re-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a terrific time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
