Our top Vacation rental tips and tricks:

When to visit & When to reserve a Atlantic Beach rental home:

  • In the New Bern area, The sooner your group can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are booked very early. Booking your rental home up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • Summer time is high season in the New Bern area. To find the best value, try shifting your family's New Bern vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warm weather, , and greatly reduced traffic.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property managers often offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local New Bern visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guides contain money saving offers on nearby tours and attractions.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Select a group leader, select your vacation week, and choose a budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. King Junior-Unit 114 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.

Advice for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your .
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of difficulties.
  • Lock your rental while you are out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • To ensure that damages are not attributed to your family's stay, inspect the property for any problem areas during check in. Speak to the host immediately to report your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to confirm you did not forget any personal items. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your family have a excellent stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
