  • Reserve your New Bern rental property in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a New Bern vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your family qualifies for a special rate.
  • Booking websites usually offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Look for your local New Bern visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guide magazines contain discounts for local accommodations, tours and attractions.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • Start by choosing your potential vacation weeks and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Double Queen-Unit 305 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, reach out to the property owner before reserving the property. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You will need to work out what is optimal for your group.

  • If there's a certain New Bern attraction you are enamored with, keep an eye out for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .

More considerations:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let thieves ruin your vacation.
  • To make certain damages are not linked to your stay, make note of any problem areas during arrival. message the property manager immediately to report any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a terrific resource to find the best local spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Just before checking out, take a walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to propel future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review.
