Graley Cottage exudes all the appeal of a classic beach bungalow from the 50’s but has been remodeled and handsomely furnished to include all the modern amenities. Just a short walk from the deck over the dunes to the beach and surf, Graley Cottage is oceanfront in a peaceful family neighborhood on a cul-de-sac in the highly charming Club Colony area of Atlantic Beach. It features 6 bedrooms (including two separate master suites), 6 baths, 3 separate family/tv areas (great for when the kids want to watch their own movies and ground floor playroom has a couch pull out queen bed so can serve as 7th bedroom), a cavernous oceanfront family room and adjoining roomy dining room for your family gatherings, and a phenomenal deck for appreciating the dunes and ocean vistas
The bungalow is equipped with high speed internet , wireless internet, phone, Hulu live service, a 55 inch OLED 4K UHD Intelligent Tizen TV in the first floor family room, a 32 inch Intelligent TV in the upstairs family room and 42 inch OLED HD Intelligent TV in ground floor playroom. Each of the bedrooms and common areas have a 10 inch tablet for your entertainment convenience. There is ample outdoor parking for up to 5 cars.
The first floor exterior features a enormous covered beach side porch and sun deck with dining table, dining chairs and rocking chairs ideal for enjoying that first cup of coffee in the morning and for calming sunset dinners or late nighttime drinks. While you are relaxing on the deck, the kids can play in the swings, swinging bench or hammock below. The first floor exterior also features a covered street side porch ideal for just hanging out in the rocking chairs. Both beach side and street side porches are connected by a gorgeous wraparound deck (938 sq ft decking).
The interior first floor consists of the spacious family room and master bedroom (with a Queen bed and ensuite bath with tub & shower) both overlooking the beach, two additional bedrooms (each with a Queen bed) that share a jack & jill full bath with walk-in shower, another smaller study/bedroom with a twin bed and a close by full bath with tub & shower, a striking entirely-equipped kitchen with bespoke made cabinetry and granite counter tops which opens to the dining room.
The second floor features a second master bedroom with a queen bed, ensuite bath with walk-in shower, and walk-in closet and nice expansive ocean vistas, a second bedroom with two double beds (and a fold out twin in the closet) and a close by full bath with a tub & shower, and a second family room ideal for kids to hang out and play or watch tv. These upstairs rooms are supplied with books for all age levels.
The street level features a utility room with washer/dryer, packed beach bags and a huge playroom with couch pull away queen bed, intelligent TV, bath with 2 walk-in showers and bathroom. The playroom is supplied with games and crafts to entertain the kids. There is an adjoining garage with a second refrigerator/freezer, a sizable Weber gas grille, a Weber charcoal grille, a huge storage area with road bicycles, beach toys, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, outdoor games and related beach gear. Outside the garage beachside are more beach toys, kayak, 2 paddle boards, long board, body boards and an outside shower with hot/cold water- good for post beach showering.
In short, Graley Cottage is the ideal place for family fun where you can appreciate all the ocean has to offer from just a shells throw from the surf. You will want to return every year.

How to book the best vacation home experience:
How to get the best rental value:
- Summer is the most expensive season in Atlantic Beach. To get the best value, change your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer excellent temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a New Bern vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your family qualifies for a price reduction.
- Property managers usually offer guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply New Bern area travel guides which often include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find New Bern visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Filter your rental search:
- First, have your group choose vacation dates and a max budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Spectacular Oceanfront Family Cottage Retreat in Atlantic Beach! has 7 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the property owner before you reserve the property. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- If there's a certain New Bern destination you crave, look for properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or charges could be applied to your agreement.
Advice for your stay:
- Be sure you get the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
- During check-in, note any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are away, just like you would back home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected everything. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a terrific vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
