Tips and Tricks for getting the best New Bern vacation rental experience:
Finding your perfect rental home:
- The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are booked very early. Booking your rental property up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
- Booking in Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property management companies often offer their guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
- Often, management companies supply New Bern area visitor guides that include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find New Bern area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Choosing the best vacation home in Atlantic Beach:
- To start, have your family agree to trip dates and a spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your group needs. King Suite-Unit 205 - Island Inn Atlantic Beach has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.

- If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental
Advice for a smooth stay:
- Get the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your .
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your vacation home while you are out. Keep your property safe!
- Upon check-in, note any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great resource to find the best local attractions.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on great ratings to stimulate future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
