Welcome to the budget-friendly "Bungalow" at Summer Breeze! The Bungalow is a ground-level beachy apartment in a private triplex. Savor tons of shade and breeze from the patio, prepare on the charcoal grille, and best of all, the Bungalow is just steps from the sand! The beach access is located right across the street, and you can see peeks of the ocean from the Bungalow.
See the bottom of this listing for all rental configurations available at Summer Breeze.
The Bungalow features 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, sleeping 6 people (two car max.). The bedrooms are modest, but we figured comfortable sleep was more important than a lot of furnishings. One bedroom has a King bed and private bath. Two bedrooms are Queen rooms, with a hall bath. There are no steps to climb in the Bungalow. The shower stalls each do have a tall step up into the units.
The kitchen is bright and open, with a secondary pantry and counter you can store your goods in, or use as a bar! Dimmable LED lighting inset into the ceilings in the dining and living area accepts you to adjust the ambiance of this enormous and open space.
Linens are supplied in stays of 7 nights or more. For shorter stays, you are welcome to bring your own sheets and towels, rent a package from Island Essentials in Emerald Isle, or just buy the basics from the Dollar General or other close by store when you arrive.
Summer Breeze can be rented in numerous different configurations, and will suit the needs of most family groups. We invite you to discover each option and choose the unit that best accommodates your family!
Summer Breeze East (2830223) is an upper-level unit offering 3 BR / 2 BA, sleeping 7 people.
Summer Breeze West (2756822) is an upper-level unit offering 3 BR / 2 BA, sleeping 7 people.
The Bungalow at Summer Breeze (2821655) is a slightly more petite option with 3 BR / 2 BA, sleeping 6 people. This is a ground-level property with no steps to climb.
Summer Breeze East & The Bungalow (2756755) is a combination of the upper East unit plus the ground-level Bungalow. This offers a total of 6 BR / 4 BA (sleeping 13), and is a great option for bigger families traveling with elderly parents.
Summer Breeze, whole home (2535770) includes all three units, East, West and The Bungalow. This option offers a total of 9 BR / 6 BA, sleeping 20 people.

Our top New Bern rental booking tips:
How to get the best rental value:
- Reserving a rental home in the Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
- Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides contain discounts for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Select a group leader, select your vacation week, and choose a spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. 2nd-row 3 BR/2 BA Beach Bungalow flat! No steps! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our New Bern rental home search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally available online. If not, email or call the host before reserving the property. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to determine what configuration is best for your vacation.
- If there's a specific New Bern attraction you are crazy about, search for homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before booking
- If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to search for a property that allows animals. Get information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some property owners charge additional pet fees.
Some things to know before you go:
- Get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental.
- During check-in, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, intercom or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few problems.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers disrupting your life at home. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would've never otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Lock your vacation home while you're out. Protect your property!
- Re-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed everything at check-out. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did you have a great time? Many rental managers make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
