How to get the best Beaufort rental experience:

Getting the most from your rental budget:

  • June, July, and August are high season in the New Bern area. Booking your vacation rental in Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a New Bern vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • In the New Bern area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation property 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your group qualifies for a discount.
  • Property managers usually offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Often, management companies supply New Bern area visitor guide magazines which include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find New Bern area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Select a group lead, choose your vacation dates, and choose a maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your family requires. Home within walking distance of waterfront\/attractions with balcony & W\/D has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible online. If not, email or call the property management company before reserving the home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to establish which bed configuration is optimal for your group.

Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or charges may be applied to your invoice.

More tips for your stay:

  • Add the host's phone number to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • To make certain that damages aren't linked to your family's stay, record any problem areas upon your arrival. Make contact with the host right away to document your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic source for finding the best local attractions.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your rental home while you are away. Keep your property safe!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and look for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on great reviews to drive new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will appreciate that you share your experience find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
