How to get the best Atlantic Beach vacation property experience:

When to visit & When to reserve a Atlantic Beach rental home:

  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Booking your New Bern vacation rental in Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Look for your local New Bern visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guides contain money saving offers on nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Selecting and booking a perfectvacation home:

  • First and foremost, have your group agree to vacation dates and a budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Beautiful Direct Oceanfront Atlantic Beach Paradise has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually available on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property owner before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to determine what configuration is best for your vacation.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or costs may be applied to your agreement.
  • Visiting for a single attraction? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .

Tips for a great stay:

  • Put the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let thieves ruin your vacation.
  • To ensure that no damages are linked to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon check in. Contact the rental manager immediately to report any issues. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Double-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed everything at check-out. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property a final time and scan for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent reviews to drive new bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
